On USS Blue Ridge off the Coast of RVN
During the Spring of '75, Hmm-165 (Composite) was assigned the task of evacuating assets from South Vietnam before the remaining area was over run.  Here, Scott Chugg, Paul Smith, & Harry Cunningham are leaning against Dave Routsons's bird.  The UH-1E was assigned from HML-367.

Spring of 1975
A Boeing-Vertol Sea Knight helicopter from  HMM-165 hovers over USS Blue Ridge's (LCC-19) helo pad, while supporting operations off the coast of South Vietnam.  This action was during the final stages of the War in Vietnam.

U. S. Marine "Grunts," with full combat loads, board a White Knight CH-46 on the deck of the USS Blue Ridge.  Their mission was to augment the embassy security force, and to provide cover for the evacuation of Saigon.
