 The Hanger Deck of the USS New Orleans, Early 1973
 Formed in front of a YW Ch-53 that was assigned to HMM-165 are: (top row, from left to right) Steve Eaton, Troy Glass, S/Sgt Sexton, Steve Burroughs, Buz Cray, (Bottom row, left to right) Sam Marie, Bill Durrett, DD Bray and Duane Kirkman.  At this time, HMM-165 was a "composite" squadron composed of Ch-46s, Ch-53s and Hueys.  The crewmen were specially trained to take part in mine sweeping operations in Hiaphong Harbor, North Vietnam.

 A Russian Trawler shadows the US Navy while the Marines of HMM-165 participate in Operation End Sweep off the coast of North Vietnam.

To the left is an LPH taking on fuel just off the coast of North Vietnam during the time that  mine sweeping efforts in Hiaphong Harbour took place.
 

Below is Crew Chief Kevin Williams taking a break aboard that LPH between flights to and from the Mainland, namely: Hiaphong Airfield.
