Marble Mountain, RVN, December 1968
In the Hydraulic Shack, from left to right, these hydraulic/pneumatic mechanics (a.k.a. "bubble chasers") are: Ed Goodman, Robert Weary, Carrol Brothby (NCOIC), and Ira Williams.  Ira was wounded on a mission and sent home shortly after this photo was taken.

Part of the Avionics Shop chews-the-breeze on the flight at Phu Bai.  Behind this inspired crew, is their trusty NC-5 mobile power unit.  Although the faces are so familiar, names have been set asside after thirty plus years: (port-to-starboard) Gary Zimmermann, Sid "Jr" Baird, un-named waving, the Texan, un-named, and Gary Hagen.

Marble Mountain, RVN, December 1968

An Army CH-54 "flying crane" set one of HMM-165's helicopters down at marble mountain.  The Ch-54 was able to lift the 46 with a margin of safety once the rotors and both engines were removed.
