Crew/chief Joe Silveira's "Second to None," YW-17, (from left to right) are crew/chiefs Gary Brown, Joe Silveira and Ben McMillon.  Silhouetted through the hatch is the gunner's mounted M-60 machine gun which dates this photo to be during the early days after the White Knights arrived in Vietnam.

In cargo hold of aircraft YW-3 sits a group of White Knights sipping Shastas, and from their appearance, on standby.   They are (around, from left to right) Larry Plank, Gary Brown (a.k.a "Big Ed"), Joe "Hulk" Silveira, Ben McMillon, Ed "Van" VanHouten and Ron Boyer.

"Hot LZ," I Corps, Republic of Vietnam, 1967
 Marine "Grunts," under fire, beat feet into one of three awaiting HMM-165 helicopters.  At the rear of the CH-46 stands a squad leader ensuring that his people get safely aboard, while other assigned Marines (one with his foot on a rice paddy dike) protect the rear.
