Some people have all the luck. This is the result of the first mission of Bill "Willie, the Moose" Wilson.  It would appear that the "hit" is somewhat larger than the more "normal" small arms fire.

The tire cover for the MAG- 36 Chaplain's jeep was made by the 165 shop personnel and read "Heavens Tech Reps."  No doubt the Chaplain was busy on many occasions, especially after missions like the one "Moose" had in the previous photo!

"Somewhere in South Viet Nam," as the official publications used to say, four enemy prisoners await transport aboard HMM-165 choppers to be "debriefed."  Three of the prisoners appear to be Viet Cong dressed in their "black pajamas," while the fourth looks as if he may be a North Viet Nam regular: as he is dressed in a khaki uniform.  As 1967 wore on, the Squadron and the grunts, kept having more contact with NVA units in "I Corp," which culminating in the '68 TET attacks throughout South Viet Nam.
